Time for a reset
/Happy New Year!
This is a great time of year to take the opportunity to reset and implement some better habits. We want to ensure they are sustainable as that is what will bring you good health for the long term.
How many of you made New Year’s resolutions at the beginning of the month with sweeping promises to yourself to “eat healthy” or “exercise more”? These are so broad that it becomes very hard for you to stick to – the thought can be overwhelming and there is limited focus. Statistics show that most people don’t stick to them past the first 6 weeks of the year.
Let’s work to make 2018 the year that you make changes that are permanent. Small changes daily really do add up to better health for you for life. Making these habits part of your daily life and not just a resolution is what will keep you doing it for years to come.
Instead of saying “I will eat healthier” be specific and say “I will eat greens everyday”, “I will remove added sugars”. A very clear goal is much easier to stick to and evaluate your progress on a daily basis.
Here are some habits I would suggest implementing to set yourself up for better health.
1. Drink lemon water
2. Eat at least 3 cups of greens per day
3. Move everyday
4. Ensure you are getting 35 grams of fiber/day
5. Get 7-9 hours of sleep each night
If you want to learn more about these tips and get 25 more please sign up for the 30 day reset I have running through Clear Medicine next week.
